In a robocall to parents, Union City School District Superintendent Matthew Bennett, informed the public that Covid-19 cases in the district continues to grow with 15 active cases, and one hundred students absent from learning, as they isolate at home, having been directly exposed
to the virus.

Since the start of the school year, the district has received 200 phone calls, some of which are angry parents, upset with the statewide mask mandate in Pennsylvania schools. The district is asking parents, to be professional, if you feel the need to call into the district offices.

The school nurses have been extremely busy with the Covid outbreak, since the start of school. The district is using contract tracing, and doing everything possible, to assure the safety of the students. They ask for your cooperation.

An internet survey is again going to households, to gauge homes that have active internet, as the district prepares to go to virtual learning, if necessary.

They are working ahead, putting measures in place, similar to those in 2020.
