Just before all winter high school sports we’re shut down due to Covid-19, the Union City Bears opened their season hosting Seneca. Jacob Young and Braden Kibbe each scored 17 points as Seneca started the season with a 70-50 non-region boys basketball win on the road Friday at Union City High School.

The Bobcats raced out to a 22-5 lead after the first quarter and didn’t look back in the impressive win. Justin Walker added 12 points and Bobby Yost had 11 for Seneca. Cole DeSimone and Josh James had 15 points apiece and Wyatt Post added seven for the Bears.
