After waiting three days for a police report, a Union City man faces felony arson charges after Union City Police arrested Adam J. Elder of setting fire to two all-terrain vehicles, and two others that we’re parked nearby. The incident took place at a residence in the first block of East High Street in the borough.

Officers who responded to the residence on a report of a disturbance on the late afternoon of Jan. 6 said they were told by witnesses that Elder tried to set the vehicles on fire.

Police found evidence that attempts were made to burn the vehicles, according to information in Elder’s criminal complaint.
