From Staff Reports

Several teams are in quarantine over COVID-19 concerns after the high school winter sports season resumed with practices on Jan. 4 and competition over the weekend. Last week, the Corry girls basketball team was put on pause over COVID concerns, according to athletic director Mike Daniels. As a result, the Beavers had to postpone their games on Friday against Fairview and on Monday at Warren. Corry’s next scheduled game on Wednesday at Sheffield is on as scheduled.

Corry had two wrestling matches postponed in the upcoming two weeks because of opponents going into quarantine over COVID cases. Corry was set to wrestle McDowell today, but that match was postponed. The Beavers were set to wrestle Cambridge Springs on Jan. 20, but that meet is also postponed. Cambridge Springs has postponed a tri-match today, a match with Eisenhower on Wednesday and a match with Union City on Saturday. And The Maplewood wrestling team is shut down over COVID concerns until Jan. 21. The postponements include Union City, Youngsville and Cochranton.
