From State Police Report

A crash occurred as a 2017 Subaru Outback, driven by Derek C. Swan, 23, of Cambridge Springs, was traveling east on Route 6 at a high rate of speed, exceeding the posted speed limit at 7:31 a.m. Dec. 17. The Subaru struck a 2012 Toyota Tundra, driven by Eric R. Silvia, 35, of Corry, on the rear passenger side as it was making a left hand turn.

The Toyota was then forced towards a 1997 Ford F250 Supercab, driven by Gail F. Bidwell, 41, of Corry, striking it as it was waiting at the intersection to make a right hand turn. All occupants were wearing seat belts, airbags were deployed in the Subaru.

Silvia’s passenger was a 3-year-old Corry girl who was transported to Corry Memorial Hospital for suspected minor injuries. Elgin-Beaverdam Hose Co. and Union City Volunteer Fire Co. also responded to the scene. Swan is charged with a violation of driving a vehicle at safe speeds.
