A fast moving storm on Sunday caused severe tree damage in Union City, Corry, Wattsburg, Mill Village and other areas of Erie County. According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts got as high as 60 mph.

The storm also caused extensive power outages. Residents posting on the Alerting Union City Facebook page, indicated their power was off for five hours or more.

Crews began clean up work on Monday. By all reports, no one in Union City was injured.
