A Union City man accused of helping a suspect in two Erie County homicides conceal the body of one of his alleged victims has waived a pair of misdemeanor charges to court.

Cameron J. Zimmerman, 24, waived to court at his preliminary hearing on Wednesday morning a second-degree misdemeanor count of abuse of a corpse that the Pennsylvania State Police filed against him on June 18 and a second-degree misdemeanor count of tampering with evidence that prosecutors added to his criminal complaint on Tuesday.

Zimmerman, who remains in prison, is accused of helping homicide suspect Cody J. Potthoff, 25, conceal the body of 41-year-old Ian Welden in a vehicle after state police investigators charge that Potthoff fatally shot Welden at Potthoff’s father’s residence in North East on June 16.
