Caflisch Park to Get Updated Later This Year
By Chris Lash Publisher
While Union City Borough is asking the public for its input on the town’s parks, one will get an update later this year. The borough has received a pair of grants to increase Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility at Caflisch Park.
Also as part of the upgrade, new grills, some trash cans, benches, and a swing set will be installed. And each pavilion at the park will have one ADA accessible picnic table. Work on the ADA accessibility project at Caflisch Park is expected to begin in late summer or early fall.
Union City was awarded $100,000 in grants – $50,000 from the DCNR and $50,000 from ECGRA’s Community Assets grant.
