Union City Man is Facing Charges in a Beating That Left a Two-Year-Old Child With a Fractured Skull
From Staff Reports
A Union City man is facing charges in a beating that left a two-year-old child with a fractured skull. Those newly filed charges come after an incident at a home along Marion Street in Corry last week.
State Police say they got a report from the staff at Corry Memorial Hospital about a two-year-old girl who had been brought to the ER after a night of vomiting. Doctors eventually determined the child had a fractured skull.
After repeated questioning, police say Donald Edward Lago of Union City admitted to throwing the child into a playpen, causing that head injury. Police have not said how the man is connected to the child or her mother. Lago is now in jail on a list of charges as the police investigation continues.
