UNION CITY — State police at Corry said a harassment with physical contact incident occurred at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 9 as a 31-year-old Union City man and a 49-year-old Union City woman were involved in a physical altercation at their residence on South Main Street. Summary harassment charges are pending for both parties in District Judge Denise Buell’s office. Authorities did not release the names of the accused.
• UNION CITY — State police at Corry said a motor vehicle crash occurred at 4:01 p.m. Feb. 25 on North Main Street as a 2014 Jeep Patriot, driven by Tyler W. Wallace, 27, of Union City, entered the roadway in an attempt to turn left to travel north on Route 8. A 2015 Kia Soul, driven by Michael J. Whitmeyer, 46, of Union City, was traveling south on Route 8 in the left turn lane. The Patriot then struck the Soul in its attempt to turn left. The Patriot left the scene under its own power, while the Soul was towed from the scene. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts and airbags were deployed. Whitmeyer is suspected to have suffered a minor injury and was transported from the scene by Emergycare. Wallace was not injured but was charged with a vehicle turning left violation.
• ROCKDALE — State police at Meadville said a motor vehicle crash occurred on Miller Station Road at 4:49 p.m. Feb. 19. A 2007 Honda Civic, driven by Samantha T. Brumagin, 20, of Union City, was traveling east on Miller Station Road and as it approached a left-hand curve, another vehicle was traveling west on the same road. The other vehicle traveled into the Civic’s lane, but did not make contact. Brumagin swerved to avoid hitting the other vehicle, but over corrected and traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree and mailbox. The Civic came to final rest in a ditch on the left side of the roadway. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash and no charges will be filed.
