Winter Fun Day, January 26th in Union City

By Chris Lash Publisher

As we go through another average winter in Union City, one of the things to look forward to is Union City Park and Recreations Winter Fun Day, which is set this year on January 26th.

The fun family event takes place again at the Willow Street Hill and indoors at McLane Church. The day features sled riding, food, games, fun and a showing of the movie “Abominable.”

Union City Parks and Recreation who coordinates the event teams up with the church, and Positive Youth Development. Volunteer leader Elizabeth Malec Moon describes the event. “Parks & Rec pairs up with the Healthy Youth Development & Mclane Church groups to host this annual event. There are both outdoor & indoor activities, & winds down with pizza & a movie.” said Malec Moon to Union City Today.

The fun begins at 2 pm that day with sled riding, and a bonfire. And then moves indoors at McLane Church at 3 pm. At 5 pm its pizza and the movie. Bring the entire family. Its about winter, and your family!
