State police at Corry said that a one-car crash occurred at 3:34 p.m. Dec. 14 as a 2011 Cadillac was traveling westbound on Route 8. Pete B. Black, 34, of Union City, lost control of the Cadillac on the snow-covered, icy roads while negotiating a slight curve in the roadway. The Cadillac slid off the north side of the road, struck a mailbox and began to slide sideways until striking a tree on its driver side door. The Cadillac came to a final rest in the yard of 14710 Route 8, Union City, facing north. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Black was charged with a driving vehicle at safe speed violation. State police at Corry said that a one-car crash occurred at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 14 as a 2005 Ford Ranger was traveling eastbound on Concord Road. Lacey M. Blount, 35, of Corry, lost control of the Ford Ranger on snow-covered roads, struck a utility pole south of the travel lane with the front of the vehicle, spun clockwise and came to rest facing west. No injuries were reported in relation to this crash. Concord Road was closed for about two hours as First Energy was fixing downed power lines. Blount was charged with a driving vehicle at safe speed violation.
