At 7:28 p.m. Dec. 24, state police at Corry were dispatched to Route 6 for a three-vehicle crash. The crash occurred as the operator, a 34-year-old Corry man, was traveling east on Route 6 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled across the double yellow lines, into the oncoming lane of travel and into the path of another vehicle. The operator and two passengers suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. Charges of driving under the influence and drug possession are pending. State police did not release the name of the accused.
At about 8:40 a.m. Dec. 23, state police at Corry responded to a report of criminal mischief on Riley Siding Road in Union Township. An investigation determined a male was logging when he caused damage to the logs and roadway. The investigation is ongoing. State police did not release the name of the accused.
State police at Corry said that a drug possession and driving under the influence incident occurred as a traffic stop was conducted on a 2014 Jeep for a summary traffic violation. Upon further investigation, the operator, a 32-year-old Union City man, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Additionally, the operator was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Charges are pending and being proceed through District Judge Denise Buell’s office. State Police did not release the name of the accused.
