LECOM will be breaking ground by the end of the year, weather permitting, on a 5,000 square foot health clinic in the borough.

The former Green Acre Greenhouse complex has been torn down at 101 East High Street, and will be the location of the new facility.

The new owners say that the Corry Memorial Hospital’s health clinic has been serving residents of Union City, and that the new clinic will service a need, and provide jobs, resources and health care.

The project was fast forwarded by Union City Borough Council and the Union City School Board, when they both approved resolutions for tax-exempt status for the property.

The new clinic could be open in the summer of 2020.
