Union City Play Blue Devils In Rivalry Game Friday Night

CLASS 1A — 5. Union City (4-4): The Bears stay at No. 5 after coasting to a 41-6 win over Saegertown last week. Cain Greeley (above) and the Bears will visit rival Cambridge Springs in a Region 2 showdown Friday.

Cambridge Springs had a 13-12 comeback win over Region 2 rival Cochranton on Friday night at Cochranton Stadium. Cambridge Springs improves to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in Region 2. Cochranton moves to 1-7 and 1-3 in region.

The Blue Devils are a big banged up. Cambridge Springs linebacker Xavier Castillo was taken off the field on a stretcher and then moved to an ambulance last Friday. The Union City Bears defeated the Saegertown Panthers with a 41-6 victory Friday night. With this win, UC advances their record to 3-1 in the conference and 4-4 overall. They key is the Bears 3-1 conference record.
