Last season brought a ton of excitement to Bears fans! A Region 2 Championship to a school record in rushing. But that was last season. What does this year bring as the Bears take to the field Friday night traveling to Greenville, to take on Reynolds?

One thing for sure Coach Randy Gunther did, was bring even more experience to his coaching staff. Gunther hired former Union City, and most recently Corry head coach Brian Patten to his staff in the offseason. After losing three key seniors to graduation, the Bears will have a new look this season.

New seniors natually step into leadership roles. And there are more than enough players returning as starters, who are still hungry to win the region, and playoff games.

Players like seniors Logan Kesselring, and Ryan Brooks have already stepped into leadership roles. Both are confident that they can defend the region title, after last years 7 and 4 season. Again the Bears are at Reynolds Friday night.

Different this year, you can listen to the game provided by Rod and Jason McCray here at Union City Today, just buy clicking on the KMIX logo. Go Bears!
