Second Man Involved in Attempted Union City Robbery Sentenced


The second man involved in the robbery plot in Union City has been sentenced to 4.5 to 10 years in prison for conspiracy to commit robbery. Robert Hull and his partner Keith Hawley set up a deal online to sell a stolen chainsaw. Police then set up a sting operation in the parking lot of the Dollar General in Union City.

The robbery attempt ended when State Police, fatally shot Hawley, after he attempted to rob them at gunpoint. The Erie County’s DA ruled the shooting as justified.

Hull was the driver of what would have been the getaway car.
