UC Lady Bears Opt out of District Basketball Playoffs

The Union City Lady Bears, with a 5-15 regular season opted out of the District 10 playoffs announced on Thursday.
However Mercer, who the Union City Bears boys team will play in the playoffs, decided to stay in.
Three boys teams and 10 girls team among those not advancing
District 10 announced Thursday that 13 teams — three boys and 10 girls — have opted out of the D-10 playoffs.
Among the Class 2A boys, Rocky Grove (5-15) and Eisenhower (2-18) will not participate. In Class 4A, Conneaut (7-13) will not play.
Five Class 2A girls teams have opted out of the postseason: Wilmington (7-12), Union City (5-15), Jamestown (2-17), Rocky Grove (3-16) and Youngsville (4-16).
Also skipping the playoffs will be Tidioute Charter (Class 1A, 217) and Titusville (3A, 5-14), along with three Class 5A teams: Conneaut (7-13), Oil City (2-16) and Franklin (0-19).
