From Staff Reports

After months of controversy, debates, and stalls, Erie County Council finally voted 6 to 1 to approve County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper’s four appointees to the board for terms through December 31st, 2019. David Robinson of Union Township, and Executive Director of the Union City Family Support Center was one of the four.

EMTA board members generally serve five-year terms. The year term was a compromise needed to get the votes to approve the appointments. Foremost on the EMTA board’s agenda in coming months will be a labor agreement with employees, an ongoing construction project and the search for a new executive director. Dahlkemper called the one-year term limits “puzzling.”
