It’s the first week of Erie News Now – Your News Team’s How Cool is Your School and we’re live at Union City Elementary learning how they’re going green in 2018! This is our 9th year sponsoring the program and we couldn’t be happier to highlight the positive programs and people right here in our local schools.

They were live on Channel 12 this morning.  Adam Shrout of the Union City School District provides more.

“The LIVE broadcast began at 6 a.m. and our first student showed up at 5:17 a.m. (I think they were a little bit excited).  We had approximately 150 student arrive to the school before 6 a.m.  Kara Coleman and Mark Soliday from Erie News Now did their one hour live broadcast right from the Union City Elementary School Gymnasium.  We entered the “How Cool is Your School” video contest and the theme was Going Green in 2018.  We were selected as one of four finalists and received $500 for our school from Tendto Credit Union.  Voting for the top video will run until November 21st.  Go to the Erie News Now website and under the drop down tab “Features” go to “contests” and then “How Cool is Your School” and vote for Union City Elementary School.”
