By Chris Lash

The Third Annual Union City Fall Fest and Bluegrass Festival again follows the annual Homecoming Parade on Saturday, September 28th, starting at 12:30 pm at the Union City Fire Hall. This all day music in the fire department truck bay event is a fundraiser for the Union City Fire Department, and features bluegrass bands from all over. Local residents and families can enjoy food, games, hayrides, a chinese auction, 50/50 drawing, and new this year an antique fire truck show.

Bluegrass entertainment includes three Union City groups including Country Blue, Pat and Partners, and Earth Angel. Corry is represented by the group the Front Porch Rockers, Waterford by Pennsylvania Crude, and Titusville with the group Mockingbird Morning. From Pittsburgh the group the Casual Hobos take the stage at 4:15, followed by Tug Creek, Brett Howland, Salvation Road and more, until the music ends, close to 11 pm.

The Union City Fire Department is located at 50 Second Avenue in Union City, and if you have any questions, call event organizers Beth Edwards at 814-873-2706, or Nick Kuecynski at 814-873-1679.
