Norm Troyer started Dial Realty in 1970, with Donnie Ryan, they rented an office on North Main Street. Dial Realty moved to its current location in 1990.

Remembering, he says “My faithful person, who worked for me from around 1970 on, was Judy Peters! She worked for me for 40 years till she passed in 2010! She was very, very valued and a faithful part of our company…a wonderful person. She helped with everything.”

At one time, I had five salespeople,” he adds…”Right now, I am the broker. I’m the only one.”

He says, “I own many rentals around town, plus the building on Main Street, starting at the Pet Store, and up to the art place, which is the last one. There are 13 apartments upstairs and 6 storefronts! I bought that building in 1982.”

Norm is the proud father of three children.. Kim Dawson, Jeffrey Troyer and Heather Hornaman. Also proud grand parent of 6 grand children and 2 great grand children.

Proudly, he states, “I have been a Lion in the Lions Club since 1959! Right now I am the oldest Lion with active years. I am a life member!”

Norm says, “I’ve been very blessed to have been a part of Union City and Union City is a great community. I’m very blessed to have been a part of it and still here trying to serve! I’m 82 years old on NO medications.”
